Description: 48 pp. 8½x5¾, original printed wrappers.One of the earlier, if not the earliest, post-San Francisco earthquake telephone directory, published a bare 3½ weeks after the cataclysmic quake and fire. The last five pages contain a listing of Telephones Ordered but Not Connected, with notice printed on the front wrapper that many of those telephones were now in service. The great metropolis of San Francisco did not take long to begin the epic rebuilding of the shattered city. Quite scarce: OCLC lists only six copies: at San Francisco Public Library, U.C. Irvine, Yale, Univ. of Missouri at St. Louis, Stanford, and the Gleeson Library at U.S.F.
