Scarce Wide Spool "H.L. Leonard - Pat. No 191813" Marked Bi-Metal Trout Reel. Built with a bronze frame, nickel silver foot and handle and aluminum spool, this 2 5/8" dia., 1 3/8" wide spool reel was made by Julius Vom Hofe, with oversized hard rubber handle grasp and screw off rear bearing cap (missing), this riveted click example has an unaltered foot, very good condition screws and a slight dent to the tail plate. With heavy age patina and slight corrosion that should clean up nicely, a rare version in very good condition.
