"Talbot Reel & Mfg. Co., K.C., MO, USA - Star" Marked German Silver Bait Casting Reel. A special reel, modified for tournament casting with large diameter cork arbor and tiny dual grasp handle that is kept in free spool by means of a spring, housed in the crank collar. By depressing the handle to the collar, the angler could retrieve his line back on the spool. An incredibly smooth casting reel, marked with serial number 13472, in excellent condition with sliding click switch and grooved top and foot pillars.
