(British, 1683-1749), both hand colored engravings on wove paper from [The Natural History of Carolina, Florida, and the Bahama Islands]: "The Whip-poor-will" with ginseng, watermark not visible, possibly third edition, 19th century, signed in plate lower right "MC", plate 14 x 10-1/4 in., page 20-7/8 x 14-3/8 in., modern frame with French mat, [small repair left edge under flowers, light toning, binding edge at left]; "American Swallow (Chimney Swift) with Wood Lily", lacking watermark, possibly 19th century edition, plate 10-1/8 x 13-7/8 in., page 14-1/4 x 20-7/8 in., modern wood ogee molding frame with French mat.
