one-case construction, poplar throughout, paneled doors with reeded fielded panels and fixed interior shelves, undisturbed backboards with cut nails, probably original cornice, Southern, possibly North Carolina, early 19th century, 90 x 52 x 26-1/2 in. Refinished, hinges and door catches replaced, probably original cornice with later blocking, other abrasions, minor patches and repairs. Provenance: The Estate of the Late Shirley Freeman, Greenville, South Carolina
