Charleston Federal cherry cradle,

cherry throughout with poplar slats and poplar and yellow pine slat supports, ring and urn turned posts, tapered spindles, scrolled rockers, mellow old surface, attributed to Charleston area South Carolina, 19th century, 38 x 36 x 42 in. Minor surface abrasions and scratches, rockers repinned, other cracks and minor flaws. Provenance: According to consignor, was found in a house on the Battery in Charleston; Collection of the Late John Bivins
