front and top with carved shields, flowers, vines, painted "Forget Me Not", scroll and pen, probably British or Continental, early 20th century, 6-1/4 x 12-1/2 x 7-1/2 in. Probably original surface with losses to gilt highlights and paint, lacking element on inside of lid, lacking three decorative pegs on top, 1 inch chip on front of lid. Provenance: Private Collection
