both with thumb-molded tops: one with brass bail and escutcheon, 5 x 8-3/4 x 5 in., [hinge broken (handle with care), several large patches, veneer losses, lacking original feet, damage to proper right front corner, chip to proper left front corner]; one with fine line inlay, three compartments, 6 x 9-1/2 x 5-1/4 in., [compressed ball feet replaced, two interior lids probably replaced, lacking escutcheon with patch, veneer losses, separations and chips], both British, 18th or 19th century. Provenance: The Estate of the Late Shirley Freeman, Greenville, South Carolina
