ormolu mounted rectangular case with old ebonized surface, ogee molded top, brass carrying handle, sides of case with masks above fabric panels with maidens carrying fruit or flowers, brass three chain fusée movement, silvered face marked "Thwaites & Reed Clerkenwell/London/13491", fine quarter-hour chiming mechanism, key with turned wooden handle, matching pendulum, mid 19th century, 31 x 18-1/2 x 11 in.; with matching ormolu mounted bracket with recessed pockets for clock feet, 13 in. Clock with some losses to gilt highlights, frame separation at bottom of front panel on both sides; bracket with minor surface abrasions and paint drips. Provenance: The Estate of the Late Thelma H.
