red trunk with gilt accents, stitched and applied chimes, [ruyi] scepter, bats, characters, dragons, large brass lock plates with two locks and key, four bronze handles, late 19th/early 20th century, 23 (32 in. on stand) x 59-1/4 x 27-1/2 in., stand 8-7/8 x 59 x 27-3/4 in. Wear, stains, scratches, some losses to pigment; stand with surface loss and wear. Provenance: The Estate of the Late Thelma H. Osborne, Wilkesboro, North Carolina
