[famille rose]: lidded armorial box, brass mounts, lid with crest, motto "ABSTITIT QUI DEDIT", base marked in red "CHINA", 2-3/4 x 4-7/8 x 3-5/8 in., [firing flaws, wear to gilt]; cylindrical vase, flowers and birds, figures in courtyard, flower and vine borders, 4-3/4 in., [glaze flaws, wear to gilt and glaze, some fading of black]; cylindrical vase, figures in courtyard, flower and butterfly border on rim, 4-3/4 in., [rim with chip, crack, gilt wear], all 20th century. Black glaze on faces 90 percent gone. Provenance: The Estate of the Late Shirley Freeman, Greenville, South Carolina
