finely carved mahogany frames with later putty colored paint, traces of gilding, orange cream striped silk upholstery, French, probably late 19th century, 38-3/4 x 27 x 22-1/2 in. Good condition overall with wear and losses to paint decoration, minor wear and separations, minor chips to carved elements, upholstery in good repair with very minor staining, not examined under upholstery. Provenance: The Estate of the Late Thelma H. Osborne, Wilkesboro, North Carolina
