two case construction, upper case with heavily paneled back, three plate shelves with ring and baluster turned arcades over center lower shelf, lower case with two dovetailed drawers over two doors, finely carved with leaves and portrait medallions, mellow dark patina throughout, very heavy construction throughout with paneled backs top and bottom, original steel escutcheons, French, 18th century, 78-1/4 x 48-3/4 x 23 in. Drawer pulls replaced, escutcheons probably original, minor pest damage, scattered cracks and separations, some later nails, minor losses at joints and top, minor foot patches.
