each with tablet back with gilt composition classical mask, gray/blue paint decoration with gilt composition ornaments, striped upholstered seats, probably Swedish, early 19th century, 30-1/2 x 21-3/4 x 18 in. Painted surface and gilding probably restored and with minor wear and losses, breaks and repairs both tablet backs with some paint retouch, cracks and separations at joints including tablet backs. Provenance: Ruth Hubbell Antiques, Rye, New York, 1989 (receipt accompanies lot); The Estate of the Late Dr. and Mrs. Arthur De Talma Valk, Winston-Salem, North Carolina
