walnut with burlwood veneers and pine secondary, top with marquetry inlaid central panel depicting Roman chariot, paneled case sides with parrot inlay, three dovetailed drawers, three drawers with wrought nail construction each with marquetry panels depicting horses trampling figures, drawer interiors with blue paper lining, 18th century, 39-1/2 x 56-3/4 x 24-1/2 in. Some sun fading, cracks, separations and warping, scattered patches, drawer pulls possibly original but rethreaded, feet probably old restorations, scattered pest damage, backboards probably original (renailed), warping, losses and minor repairs to marquetry panels, molding losses.
