[laca povera] style, bombé form with two drawers, carved and applied composition ornament and applied printed decoupage decoration with heavy resin(?) coating, possibly 18th century in part, 33-1/4 x 49-1/2 x 17 in. Surface treatment possibly later than construction, cracks and separations to surface at some joints, minor repairs to composition ornament, break and repair to one rear leg, warping and some cracks to top, other scattered repairs, case interior painted. Provenance: The Estate of the Late Thelma H. Osborne, Wilkesboro, North Carolina
