finely carved and painted beech frames with shield backs, open arms and fluted legs, cream and floral silk upholstery, late 19th century, 37-1/2 x 24 x 21 in. Some breaks and repairs to arms, break and repair to one rear leg, other flaking and wear to paint (painted surface possibly restored), other separations at joints, upholstery in excellent condition, not examined under upholstery. Provenance: The Estate of the Late Mrs. Thomas Hayward, Columbus, Ohio
