highly figured mahogany, fold-over top opening to felt-lined playing surface, veneered skirt, molded square legs, underside of top with large engraved label for "William Clarkson, Upholder, Appraiser, Cabinet Maker and Undertaker at the King's Head, Corner of Old Bedlam, Morefield, London…", British, late 18th century, 29-1/4 x 32-1/2 x 16-1/4 in. (opens to 32-1/4 in.) Numerous cracks and separations to top, some patches at hinges, probably original felt playing surface with pest and other damage, patch and repair to swing leg, other separations and minor repairs to veneers, minor pest damage.
