ink and color on paper, Amida Nyorai, Buddha of the Western Paradise, seated on a lotus throne as he descends from heaven, a retinue of gods before him, demons fleeing through the landscape, image 44 x 22-1/2 in., trimmed and mounted in contemporary gilt wood frame, frame 64-1/4 x 30 x 2 in., with wood box, 3 x 31-1/2 x 3-1/4 in. Not examined out of frame, horizontal cracking with some loss, foxing, fading, box is not original to piece. Provenance: Private Collection According to appraisal by Faure Harada, Treasure Island, Florida, hanging is signed "Tokei".
