A silver open face pocket watch, Swiss, circa 1930, .925 continental silver, the dial signed Vulcain, similarly signed jewelled lever movement, the reverse engraved with a footballer striking the ball and inscribed CAMPEON MUNDIAL DE FOOT-BALL 1930 - MONTEVIDEO, inscription originally enamelled in blue, mostly worn away This watch was made as a commemorative item for the general public in Uruguay in celebration of the 1930 World Cup victory.
