FRAIKIN, Charles Auguste, (Belgian, 1817-1893): ''3 Graces'', Bronze, 31'', signed Fraikin, marked Lerolle Freres, modified to be a lamp at one point. Minor loss to patina, girl with palette has lost her paint brush. The Lerolles succeeded their father company in 1836 and participated to the major exhibitions of the second half of the 19th century. Formally trained as sculptors, most of their decorative art creations strongly reflect their initial training as originally executed with the present lot.
