McD and Sons, Boston, comprising two stoneware mugs, each decorated with an amusing inscription, "Of all sad deaths the very worst is that which comes of burning thirst", and "This is a good world we live in, to lend or to spend or to give in, to beg or to borrow or to get a mans own, It is such a world as never was known", each impressed with company logo and retailer, numbered 9422 and 9424 respectively. 4"H. Condition: "Thirst" mug with 1/4" flake to rim and base, otherwise excellent.
