Maitere et Memoire: Sophisticated Lady (Pl. XXI); and Supplice du telephone (Pl. XXX), 1944
Two lithographs, on Auvergne paper, with full margins, both S. 13 1/16 x 9 7/16 in. (33.2 x 24 cm). Sophisticated Lady signed and inscribed 'épreuve d'essai' in pencil, Supplice du telephone bears 'épreuve d'essai' in pencil (the regular edition was 10, 7 and 4 artist's proofs respectively and an unsigned book edition of 60), published by Fernand Mourlot, Paris, both with soft creasing, soiling and pale staining, otherwise in good condition, both framed.
