with an A.L.s from Morris and another from Burne-Jones tipped-in, one of 350 copies, printed in red and black, wood-engraved illustrations designed by Edward Burne-Jones and borders and initials by Morris, bookplate of Gerhard Jensen, original limp vellum with ties, 3 ties defective, slightly soiled, uncut, [Peterson A39], large 4to, Kelmscott Press, 1896.***The A.L.s from Morris is dated 10th March, 1884. It thanks the undisclosed recipient for a copy of poems by the 'Factory Bard' and also discusses the cause of socialism, "I am by no means discouraged at the Blackburn meeting; I feel sure that our own principles will spread, & that prayers towards the success of the Cause will be visible even in our own life-time." The Burne-Jones A.L.s states that he will send a [wood]block by a certain time..
