Lascaris (Evadne) The Golden Bed of Kydno, translated by P.Mathers, 2 vol., number 47 of 60 specially-bound copies with an extra suite of plates, from an edition limited to 200, signed by the translator, printed in yellow and black, engraved title vignette and plates by Lettice Sandford, leather book-label of Francis Kettaneh on front free endpaper, original pictorial red morocco, gilt, t.e.g., others uncut, gold endpapers, very slight scuffing to tips of corners, additional plates all signed in pencil, loose in red cloth folder, with extensive and amusing correspondence between a Mr.C.G.Littell and the printer, Christopher Sandford, tipped into card folder, all together in cloth drop-front box (spine rubbed, upper joint split), [Chanticleer 107], 4to, Golden Cockerel Press, 1935.***The correspondence consists of 3 A.Ls.s. (one 6pp.) from Christopher Sandford and 2 carbon copies of Mr.Littell's typed letters, all dated 1935. Sandford's letters are in reply to Littell's (the first of which is not present here) and his original inquiry about the printing of Kydno.They both continue in a lighter vein concerning art and artists, Littell refering to the "A.S.S.
