Coppard (A.E., story-writer and poet, 1878-1957) Correspondence, including: 12 Autograph Letters signed to Albert P. Sachs, 13pp., sm. 4to & 8vo, Long Wittenham, Berkshire & Southwold, Suffolk, 27th July 1930 - 28th December 1938, regarding writing an article for him, his upcoming literary work, "I will send you the 'Polly Oliver' when she is born... then there will be a little book of verses from a new small fanciful press called The Tintern Press under the title of 'Cherry Pye' - it will contain your piece 'The Hopes of Heaven'; and 3 others including a telegram from Coppard and a T.L.s. from Sachs to Coppard; 3 Autograph Letters signed to Percy Muir, Elkin Matthews, 5pp. & envelopes, sm. 4to, 2nd June - 30th June 1930, "The reason I am anxious to have a separate publication in USA is to secure copyright, as they have begun to pirate some of my tales... . Normally 250 of the G[olden] C[ockerel] P[ress] would have gone to U.S.A. but Random House were luke warm & so the Cockerell's sold the whole issue in England"; and part of a letter from Edgar H.
