Rowlandson (Thomas) The World in Miniature; consisting of Groups of Figures, for the Illustration of Landscape-Scenery, 40 etched plates by Thomas Rowlandson in two states (one hand-coloured, the other plain), several trimmed within plate-mark but most imprints and plate numbers intact, plate 22 (coloured) with small hole near edge, man stab-holes at fore-edges, generally clean and free of spotting, later tan crushed morocco, elaborately stamped in gilt and with small black morocco onlays as corner decorations to covers, floral silk endpapers and doublures, inner gilt dentelles, g.e., [Tooley 437], 8vo, by R.Ackermann, 1817.***A fine copy of this rare Rowlandson work which was originally published in 8 parts with wrappers dated 1816.
