2 vol. in 1, first French edition, double column, gothic letter, titles with large calligraphic woodcut initials with grotesque heads, many further woodcut initials, some calligraphic with grotesque heads, occasional early ink marginalia and ms. fingerpointers, lacks blank f. a1, small hole in g5, affecting a few letters on recto and just touching a woodcut initial on verso, second title with repaired short marginal tear at head, early ink marginalia at foot, soiled, a few ff. with edges repaired, a little occasional marginal water-staining or slight soiling, eighteenth century speckled calf, gilt, rather worn, [Fairfax Murray, French, 362; Macfarlane 158; not in Adams], folio, Paris, Antoine Verard, [1503]. ***A very good copy of an exceedingly scarce work. The only edition in French, Brunet calls it "parfaitement beau". .
