engraved frontispiece, 3 engraved plates including 1 folding, engraved head-piece, foxing scattered throughout, heavy very occasionally, original boards, marked and worn, lacking part of spine with remainder becoming detached, upper cover loose, preserved in modern calf-backed marbled drop-back box, 4to, Zurich, 1770.

***"...the first comprehensive history of the Jews of Switzerland, [Ulrich] exonerates the Jews from complicity in causing the Black Death and similar allegations, and urges the Swiss to treat them as equals" Encyclopædia Judaica, p.1527, 1978. The three engraved plates present include two of synagogues and another, the folding plate, depicting a funeral scene. .
