***Rare. Depicting the dedication ceremony for the 'Vatican Obelisk', which had been transported from its previous site under the supervision of Domenico Fontana. This engraving precedes Fontana's account of the move in his Della Transportatione dell'Obelisco Vaticano of 1590 (see lot 418)..
