Whitaker (Thomas Dunham) An History of the Original Parish of Whalley, and Honor of Clitheroe, to which is subjoined An Account of the Parish of Cartmell,
the author's own extra-illustrated copy, in 6 vol, forming a large paper copy, each vol with letterpress half title bearing an original drawing with another as frontispiece, and several other original drawings and watercolours throughout, including ones signed Harding, Bigot, Ottley, and Cotman, and over 550 plates of portraits, historical scenes, monuments and church interiors, country houses, landscapes and city views, the majority of specific regional interest in Lancashire and Yorkshire, but also views in London, elsewhere in England, and a few continental scenes, by or after Turner, Gilpin, Buckler, S. and N. Buck, Gravelot and others, engravings, aquatints and lithographs, a few pencil drawings and watercolours, most mounted on supports, some text leaves inset to conform to the other large paper leaves, half-morocco over marbled boards, worn, a few backstrips split, some joints cracked or boards detached, folio, Nichols, Son, and Bentley, & Thomas Edwards, 1818.
