Penciled note on front free endpaper reading "Dear Dave: This is one of the first bindings therefore the title was never put on the cover. E. Grabhorn." Laid in is a proof sheet of pages 3-6 with the initial letters drawn by hand (presumably by Valenti Angelo) and differing from the final printed version. GB 142.
