RIPLEY SINGLE HANDLE FOOTED HAND LAMP, kerosene period, colorless, square stem with stippled brackets, unpatterned font, embossed with 1868 patent dates under base, light rough pontil mark, #1 Taplin-Brown collar. Second half 19th century. 5 1/4" h, 3 3/4" dia base.
Provenance:Collection of Faith J. Meyer. Condition reportUndamaged, manufacturing imperfections include a short annealing line in font adjacent to the stem bracket which refracts slightly, but is not a crack, along with a single open bubble under the base and minor mold roughness to edge
