BLOWN-MOLDED AND PRESSED STAND LAMP, whale oil/fluid period, colorless, large slightly compressed globular font molded with 12 lower flutes, unrecorded standard with interior prisms, square base, and four small button feet which were ground to level, wafer construction. Probably New England, possibly South Boston. 1830-1840. 7 7/8" h, 4 5/8" dia font overall, 3 1/4" sq base.
Provenance: Collection of Alice J. Lenker. Purchased from Allan J. Hodges, 1980.

Condition report

Some wear and scratching to font, base with two moderate shallow chips and expected flaking/mold roughness
