FREE-BLOWN AND PRESSED CANDLESTICKS, LOT OF TWO, colorless, each with a deep socket, first supported on a small stepped quatrefoil base, second supported on a hexagonal base, both with wafer construction. Probably Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. 1835-1860. 8 1/4" h, 3 7/8" dia base overall, and 8 7/8" h, 4 1/2" dia base overall.
Provenance: Property of a Virginia gentleman. Condition reportFirst with several shallow chips to lower steps plus a chip and several flakes under base, second with a 1/4" bruise to top of foot and a 1/4" manufacturing check to edge of foot
