LEE/ROSE NO. 585-B CUP PLATE, colorless, embossed "RINGGOLD PALO ALTO", nine pairs of large scallops with four smaller scallops between. Extremely rare. Philadelphia area, possibly Union Glass Works. Second quarter 19th century. 3 7/16" dia.
Provenance: From a Minnesota estate collection.
Note: This plate not represented in the Elsholz or Powell collections.An example from the Marble collection was included in the 1954 Corning exhibit (case 38 #642) and included by Rose in his new "100 Best" clear list.
