French Dore Metal, Bronze, Black, Slate and Green Marble Statue Clock: time and bell strike with a 3 1/2" porcelain dial. Names on dial are Davignon Cosnes. The movement is marked Japy Freres 296. The figure on top resembles Shakespeare.

(There is a chip on the dial next to left key slot. The front edges have 3 small chips and the bevelled glass front is scratched.)
