19th C. Sterling Gilt Worchester Traveling Tea Set

Including a Oriental style gilt kettle teapot, spirit burner and stand, creamer, open sugar and spirit container with 2 Royal Worcester porcelain yellow tea cup and saucers, the teapot is stamped J.D and Company Ltd. with EPBM stamp, all articles have a stamped registration number of 85275 with additional pattern numbers, the fitted leather case is of French origin with a Mfgs. stamp of Maguet and a French address, also 2 electro-plated nickel silver small spoons with the same English Mfgs. stamp, the dark blue travel case measures 11-1/2" L x 6" D x 7" H and has initials of S.C. on the lid, accompanying the case is a dark blue velvet lined canvas outer travel cover.

Condition report

All the gilded leather pieces due show light wear to the gilt, the teapot spout has a dent on the end and is slightly bent, the spirit container shows severe wear to the gilt, no damage to the teacup and saucers, moderate wear to the French fitted case and canvas travel cover, no other damage found.
