Figure, Modeled as a Russian Man. The figure is finely carved and detailed, with the figure wearing a red painted robe, figure is holding a candleholder with burnt candle stub in place, overall figure is standing on a plinth,retains it's original finish with fine crazing and a nice dry surface, one of the nicest carvings we have seen. Entire object measures 15-1/2" H.
Condition reportPaint appears to be all original, both hands of the figure have lost the ends of the thumbs, figures left arm has a fracture and old repair, small fracture on the base molding, no other major damage found.
