UNIQUE JAPANESE CARVED IVORY FIGURAL SET (Note: International shipping is not available for this item; item was legally imported into the U.S.; species is elephant ivory.) 20th Century. Each king signed with a red seal. One side natural, the other slightly stained. Each figure individually carved representing various activities. Rooks as temples, knights as warriors on horseback, bishops opn natural side males and females holding fly wisks and seated on chairs, king as warrior with bow, queen holding fan; dark side bishops as ninja, knights as samurai on horseback, king as warlord, queen holding box, pawns are various males and females. Height of king 3 1/4". Height of pawn 2 1/4". With fitted board box and carrying case. With thirteen natural and twelve stained checkers. (Cond: board box cracked, carrying case handled snapped) (10000/15000)
