Gelatin silver print. c1912. 4 5/8 x 6 9/16 in. (117 x 167 mm). Sheet Size: 4 15/16 x 6 15/16 in. (125 x 176 mm). Typed notation on verso: "Scene at trading post on Navajo Indian Reservation showing large sacks of wool being loaded onto a horsedrawn wagon, probably for transport to Cameron and ultimately Flagstaff, the nearest railhead. In the spring, Navajos would bring their wool harvest to the local trading post, often in exchange for credit for groceries and other commodities.".
