Note embroidered dance sashes and foxskin tails worn by each kachina, and the Hopi spectators sitting on the rooftops for better views of the dancers. In this photo, the kachinas are dancing along the southern side of the plaza as they prepare to leave the village." * Dogs in Hopi Village. Gelatin silver print. c1912. 6 1/2 x 4 1/2 in. (165 x 114 mm). Sheet Size: 6 15/16 x 4 15/16 in. (176 x 125 mm). Two unidentified women and two children sitting in an open doorway of mud and stone, watching several dogs in foreground. Scene is probably in an unidentified Pueblo village, most likely Hopi. Woman at left and children could be Navajo, but the building is definitely not [5].
