Vintage photoetching. 1938. Printed 1938. (Tondo): 9 5/8 x 9 5/8 in. (244 x 244 mm). Excellent condition, save usual wear due to age. Photoetchings are similar to photogravures/relief etchings. Bird and his contemporaries used this technique as a medium for original expression, rather than as a method of reproduction.
