of all the lands and town of Newtown lying in the Lordship and Regalitie of Musselburgh in the district of Edinburgh, D. stamped "Charles P" ,"James R" & signed by Alexander Seton, Earl of Dunfermline; John Erskine, Lord High Treasurer, Earl of Mar; Thomas Hamilton, Secretary of State, Earl of Melrose; George Hay, Lord of Session, Earl of Kinoull; John Murray, Keeper of Privy Purse, first Earl Annandale; William Oliphant, Lord Advocate, large initial "C", manuscript in Latin, on vellum, 60 lines, folds, slightly creased and stained, fine wax seal appended, some minor repair work, 365 x 490mm., preserved in a modern cloth box, Edinburgh, "Halierindhous" [Holyrood House], 15th July 1620.***Rare with the stamps of both James I and Charles I.
