***This photograph was taken just a few hours before John Lennon was assassinated. It appeared on the front cover of Rolling Stone magazine, January 22nd 1981. "I had always wanted to photograph them holding each other and I imagined him curled up. At the last moment Yoko decided she would take her shirt off but not her pants. I was disappointed - you know, they were always being photographed in bed together. So I said, "just leave your shirt on, it's ok." I didn't know what the impact would be.
