Gelatin silver print, printed c.1920s - 1930s, annotated and dated in pencil in unknown hand on verso. paper size 28 x 20.5cm (11 x 8 in.). provenance Acquired by the present owner from Keith de Lellis Gallery, 2004. (1)***The image was used in a photomontage that Rodchenko created for a poster that promoted Dziga Vertov's film, Cine-Eye in 1924. The photograph was taken the year that Alexander Rodchenko exhibited his photographs for the first time, in an exhibition in Moscow, organised by ODSK (Obshestvo druzei sovetskogo Kino - the Society of the Friends of the Soviet Union)..
