c. 1790 Print, "Destruction of the Temple of Baal with its Priests, false Prophets & Worshipers, by order of Jehu, King of Israel," Choice Very Fine.
Overall size 15" x 9.5," taken from the American Edition of Maynard's "Josephus." Elaborate "faux" framing surrounds a scene of soldiers hacking and stabbing to death members of the Temple of Baal (a pagan temple). The temple itself is in flames.
