This is a very rare sheet printed off the original plates for the Continental Congress Issued Currency of April 11, 1778 in York-Town. Denominations included on this sheet are: $4, $5, $6, $7, $8, $20, $30 & $40. The very sharp, evenly trimmed margins are full and clear on all sides with a pinhole in each corner tip. This sheet is very faintly quarter folded and appears to grade Very Choice to Gem Crisp CU and are "PQ" as individual notes, with just one trivial tone spot on the $7. The paper is clean and even in color with some minor prior mounting traces to about .75" of the far right reverse edge having just a bit of show through to the face. The black printed text and designs are sharp and distinct. A very rare, nearly impossible to locate and highly attractive, uncut Ninth Issue "York-Town" Continental Detector Sheet.
