(New Jersey) Lot of Three Different Denomination and Issues Notes. All Scarce City of New Brunswick.
This historic group lot includes: 1) January 7, 1796. Two Pence. Fine; 1) January 7, 1791. Three Pence. About Extremely Fine; and 1) March 10, 1796. Four Pence. Extremely Fine. The first, 2d note is signed in light tan ink by John Plum as Commissioner, is whole and complete and evenly worn. The second, 3d note is also signed in light tan ink by "Jn. Plum" as Commissioner. It is whole and complete with a clean appearance and only light, even wear, with four full margins. Likely one of the finest available to collectors. The third, 4d note is whole and complete with a clean bold appearance and only light, even wear is present, signature faded, having four full margins. This example is most likely one of the finest existent for the few known. A rare, "City of New Brunswick," quality trio. (3 notes)
