Description
New York CurrencyLot of Two September 2, 1775 New York Notes
Colony of New York. Lot of Two Notes. Both September 2, 1775. $3 and $10 Denominations. Choice Very Fine and About Extremely Fine (respectively).
The $3 note is quite clean and pleasing for the grade, particularly on the face, as the verso shows somewhat heavier circulation. Vignette of the "Ten Commandments" printed on the reverse. The $10 note is well printed and centered with a strong brown ink signature and serial number. All text and the "Elephant" vignette on the reverse are sharp and clear. Both have deft sealed centerfold edge splits. A nice, useful and valuable pair. (2 notes)
